Srinagar, Sept. 21 -- Srinagar- Senior judicial officer Yash Paul Bourney will be sworn in as a Judge of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh on Tuesday.

According to the official announcement, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at 10:30 am at the Chief Justice's Court Room here.

Bourney's appointment as a Judge of the High Court was notified by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice on September 19 following approval by the Supreme Court Collegium. The President appointed him under Article 217(1) of the Constitution of India.

The Supreme Court Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant and comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice B.V. Nagarathna, had recommended his appointment at its meeting held on September 10....
