Srinagar, Sept. 28 -- Ramban- A woman was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in the Fagow area of Banihal in Ramban district on Monday.

An official said the woman, identified as Shakeela Begum, wife of Shabir Ahmad Naik, was attacked by the bear near Banihal and sustained injuries.

She was subsequently shifted to Banihal Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, locals have urged the authorities to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of residents in the area.
