Srinagar, June 12 -- Srinagar- The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a week-long spell of rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across Jammu and Kashmir, while warning of flash floods and mudslides in vulnerable areas due to brief intense showers.

Even as temperatures remained above normal across much of the Union Territory, the weather department advised people to remain cautious amid the likelihood of lightning, hailstorms, strong winds and intermittent rainfall through June 19.

According to the forecast issued on Friday, weather conditions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy with one or two spells of light to moderate rain and brief intense showers at many places.
