Srinagar, April 24 -- Srinagar- Many parts of Srinagar city are set to face a 36-hour disruption in potable water supply from April 25 to April 26, following urgent repair works on the Sindh Power Canal (Phase II) by CMD Ganderbal, the Water Works Division Srinagar said in a public notice.

The notice issued by office of the Executive Engineer Water Works Division Srinagar, reads the shutdown will affect raw water supply to the Alusteng and Rangil treatment plants, impacting several major residential and adjoining areas across the city.

The authorities have also advised residents to store adequate water in advance and assured that control room facilities will remain operational round the clock for assistance.
