Srinagar, May 31 -- Shock and anger have gripped Chadoora's Kultreh area after nearly 3,500 young apple plants were allegedly cut down during the night between May 29 and 30 under mysterious circumstances.
The incident has sparked outrage among locals and orchard owners, with many demanding a thorough investigation into the destruction. Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat, during his ground visit, also raised questions over a possible connection between illegal earth mining activities and the large-scale damage caused to the orchard.
