Srinagar, June 22 -- Thousands of devotees thronged the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal to participate in the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani. Amid an atmosphere of faith and devotion, worshippers offered prayers for peace, prosperity and communal harmony.
J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the shrine and paid obeisance, while several political leaders also joined devotees on the occasion. The annual festival, one of the most important religious gatherings for the Kashmiri Pandit community, was held under elaborate arrangements and security measures.
