Srinagar, May 12 -- Manoj Sinha joined the Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir campaign padyatra in Baramulla and announced two major initiatives - the Community Immunization Program against drugs and the Family Fortress Initiative.
Calling drug abuse a collective challenge, the Lieutenant Governor urged schools, mosques, temples, gurdwaras, NGOs, and families to actively participate in awareness drives and weekly dialogues to protect youth from addiction.
The LG said more than 2.35 lakh awareness events have already been held across J&K in the last 31 days, while strict action continues against drug smugglers and trafficking networks.
