Srinagar, Sept. 10 -- Lal Ded's timeless Vakhs find a new canvas in Kashmiri Pashmina as artist Masood Hussain brings poetry, spirituality and visual art together.

The exhibition, "Vakhs of Silence," presents hand-painted Pashmina shawls inspired by the profound verses of Lal Ded, one of Kashmir's most celebrated mystic poets. Through vibrant colours, symbolic imagery and traditional craftsmanship, Masood Hussain reimagines Lal Ded's poetry for a contemporary audience.

The exhibition explores the enduring relevance of Lal Ded's Vakhs while highlighting Kashmir's rich artistic and cultural heritage. With English translations by Autar Mot, the works create a dialogue between poetry, painting, Pashmina and Kashmir's spiritual traditions.
