Srinagar, July 8 -- Srinagar- NH-244, the highway connecting Batote-Doda-Kishtwar was reopened for one-way traffic on Wednesday after restoration work was carried out following a flash flood triggered by a cloudburst in the upper reaches of Thathri in Doda district.

Officials said road clearance operations continued through the night, enabling the highway to be partially restored for vehicular movement. Traffic authorities have advised commuters to follow official advisories while using the route.

Meanwhile, restoration and debris clearance operations are continuing in the affected areas of Thathri, where the flash flood caused extensive damage to property and infrastructure.
