Srinagar, Oct. 24 -- Majeed Masroor stands as a beacon of Kashmiri literature, a figure whose work embodies the pulse of the valley.

His latest collection, Taashouq Chanay, spans 201 pages and is dedicated to his parents, reflecting a life shaped by memory, devotion, and careful reflection.

The book emerged after years of encouragement from friends and admirers, drawing him back to poetry after a hiatus, and marking a continuation of his commitment to the Kashmiri language.

The collection opens with a heartfelt naat, a prayer to the Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] whose verses carry devotion and luminous simplicity:

Chus bi amut dedtal darith halam az ya Rasool,

Akh nazar bas akh nazar nazre karam az ya Rasool.
