She had a master's degree, a B.Ed, and a certificate in computer applications. Her path seemed clear: a classroom, students, and a teaching career already mapped out. But marriage shifted that direction without spectacle.

The change came through routines that appeared ordinary on the surface. Household expectations expanded while her professional horizon contracted. Questions about her own plans faded inside daily obligations that asked little about desire and more about adjustment.
