Srinagar Records Season's Hottest Day At 35.9degC
Srinagar, July 18 -- Srinagar- Srinagar on Saturday recorded the hottest day of the season as the maximum temperature touched 35.9degC, even as the Meteorological Department forecast a major change in weather from July 19 to July 23 with widespread rain and thundershowers across Jammu and Kashmir.
An official of MeT said that the Union Territory is likely to witness generally cloudy skies with intermittent spells of rain and thundershowers during the five-day period. Heavy rain, brief intense showers and torrential downpours are expected at a few places, mainly during late afternoon, evening and late night to morning hours.
