Srinagar, July 2 -- Srinagar- The Directorate of Extension at SKUAST-Kashmir has issued a fresh advisory for apple growers, urging them to adopt safe pesticide practices and proper orchard management to protect crops and improve fruit quality during the ongoing growing season.

The advisory asks orchardists to purchase pesticides only from registered dealers with valid licences and to carefully check the batch number, registration number, manufacturing date and expiry date printed on product labels before buying. Farmers have also been advised to insist on a proper bill or invoice and read the instructions on pesticide containers before use.
