Srinagar, Aug. 12 -- Srinagar- Security arrangements have been reinforced across Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Independence Day celebrations, with police, Army and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) intensifying surveillance, area domination, vehicle checking, frisking and search operations to ensure peaceful conduct of the August 15 events.

Security forces have increased deployments at sensitive locations, major towns, district headquarters, vital installations, vulnerable areas and key entry and exit points across the Union Territory, officials said.
