Srinagar, April 18 -- Srinagar- The Court of Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic), Kashmir has convicted a motor vehicle violator for driving without a valid licence, sentencing him to three months' simple imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.5,000 under Section 181 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The challan was taken up for hearing in the presence of the violator and his counsel, while Assistant Public Prosecutor Chasfeeda Shafi represented the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The case pertained to an offence under Section 3/181 of the Motor Vehicles Act, after the violator was found driving a vehicle bearing registration number JK04K-6597 without holding a valid driving licence.
