Srinagar, Nov. 5 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that Jammu and Kashmir has undergone a major transformation in the last five years, where schools that once echoed with stones now resonate with laughter, innovation and education.

He was speaking at a two-day International Symposium on "Peace, People and Possibilities in Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory" organised by Vishwagram, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting education, compassion, art and service across India.

In his keynote address, the Lieutenant Governor spoke about the government's vision of a peaceful, prosperous and fear-free Jammu and Kashmir where every citizen is empowered and part of India's rapid progress.
