Srinagar, Oct. 14 -- Tensions between the ruling alliance partners in Jammu and Kashmir have intensified, with the Congress accusing the National Conference (NC) of "repeated betrayal of trust" and sidelining its MLAs in governance, following a row over the Rajya Sabha elections.
The J&K unit of the Congress submitted a scathing report to the party high command on Tuesday, alleging that the NC reneged on its commitment to provide the party a 'safe seat' in the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls. Sources said the report detailed grievances over what Congress called NC's violation of coalition dharma and marginalization of Congress leaders over the past year.
