Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- The incident occurred in Moughla village in the Kalakote area, where the family members consumed water from their well and subsequently developed health complications, they said.

They were immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital in Kalakote, where all five have been admitted and are under medical observation, officials said.

Doctors are monitoring their condition, they added.

Locals suspect that weedicide may have entered the well water, although the exact cause of the illness has not yet been established.

Authorities have been informed and further details are awaited.
