Srinagar, Sept. 1 -- Srinagar- Rainfall lashed several parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, with the Meteorological Centre Srinagar forecasting intermittent showers across many areas on Wednesday and cautioning that brief intense spells could trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides at vulnerable locations.

Fresh showers were reported from Pahalgam, Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama, Bandipora and parts of Budgam and Kupwara, while several areas of the Jammu division also received rainfall.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Katra recorded 62 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours among regular meteorological stations, while the Automatic Weather Station (AWS) network recorded 73 mm at Kathua.
