Srinagar, May 6 -- Srinagar- A senior leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and MLA from Pulwama Waheed Para on Tuesday criticised the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) over its reaction to the recent Rajya Sabha voting outcome, terming the party's outcry as "misplaced" and a diversion from more substantive issues.

In a statement posted on X, the PDP leader said the controversy surrounding the Rajya Sabha vote was being used to deflect attention from concerns such as the Siraj-ul-Aloom issue and the alleged removal of Urdu from official records.
