Srinagar, May 13 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir has achieved over 93 percent progress in the digitisation of revenue records, with more than 64 lakh khasras approved across the Union Territory under the ongoing land records modernisation programme, official data revealed.

According to the data, out of a total 68,59,915 khasras across Jammu and Kashmir, approvals have been granted for 64,06,641 records, taking the overall completion rate to 93.39 percent.

Officials said the digitisation drive is part of a major reform initiative aimed at bringing greater transparency, accuracy and efficiency to land record management in the Union Territory.
