India, Sept. 16 -- The ongoing agitation by National Health Mission (NHM) employees across Jammu and Kashmir entered its eighth consecutive day on Wednesday, with the protesting workforce seeking government intervention to address their demands of pay parity, job security, regularisation and social security benefits.

The agitation, spearheaded by the Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission Employees Association (JKNHMEA), entered its second week amid calls from employees for formal dialogue with the government and a concrete, time-bound mechanism to resolve their long-pending concerns.
