Srinagar, April 24 -- Srinagar-A newborn baby has died at District Hospital (DH) Ganderbal due to alleged medical negligence, with the family demanding a thorough and transparent probe into the circumstances leading to the tragedy.

According to the family from Gutlibagh, the expectant mother had been admitted to the hospital two days before the incident after her pregnancy had exceeded the due date. The family alleged that doctors had initially planned a surgical procedure for April 20, but continued to assure them that both mother and baby were stable.
