New J&K Industrial Policy In Final Stages: Govt
India, Oct. 6 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government's new industrial policy is in its final stages and will seek to address shortcomings and bottlenecks in the previous policy, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary said on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters, Choudhary said the government was working to ensure that the benefits of the industrial policy reached people without discrimination or a "pick and choose" approach.
"Our effort now is to plug those bottlenecks and lapses, open things up, and ensure that people genuinely benefit from the industrial policy," he said.
He said the Industries and Commerce Department was consulting stakeholders while framing the new policy.
