Srinagar, Aug. 19 -- Srinagar- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday called for a technology-driven, globally competitive and inclusive ecosystem for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), describing them as the "true builders" of India's economic resilience.

Addressing the second edition of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) MSME Conclave 2026 in Jammu, Sinha said MSMEs were powering employment, exports and entrepreneurship across the country and would remain central to India's economic growth.

"MSMEs are contributing 31.3% to GDP and nearly half of India's exports. They are also the second-largest provider of employment after agriculture. MSMEs are the heartbeat of our economy and the true builders of India's resilience...
