MeT Issues Heavy Rain Alert For J&K
Srinagar, July 14 -- Srinagar- The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a spell of heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir from July 18 and issued a flash flood advisory, warning of possible landslides, mudslides and waterlogging in vulnerable areas.
According to the MeT Department, the weather is expected to remain generally hot and humid until July 17, with scattered places likely to receive brief spells of rain and thundershowers.
From July 18, weather conditions are expected to turn partly to generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places across the Union Territory. Isolated areas of the Jammu division may experience brief spells of intense rainfall.
