Srinagar, July 31 -- In its official response to the court, the CRPF alleged that Munir Ahmed married Menal Khan, a Pakistani national who entered India on a tourist visa in February 2025, without informing his superiors. The force claims that Ahmed not only concealed the marriage but also forged her signature on the nikahnama (marriage document) - a move they argue constitutes a serious legal and disciplinary violation.
Adding to the concern, the CRPF stated that Menal's visa had expired, and instead of alerting authorities, Ahmed helped her apply for a Long-Term Visa (LTV) without notifying the force.
