India, Oct. 29 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday urged successful candidates of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 and the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) Examination 2024 to uphold humility, compassion and integrity in public service, emphasising that public office is a responsibility entrusted by the people.

Addressing a felicitation ceremony organised for the successful candidates, Sinha congratulated the qualifiers on their achievement and extended his best wishes to their parents for supporting them in realising their aspirations.

He said clearing competitive examinations was a significant achievement, but reminded the young officers that positions and designations were not personal possessions. ...
