Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- Srinagar- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday directed all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to undertake a comprehensive review of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the protection of workers from outside Jammu and Kashmir, besides making insurance coverage and police registration mandatory for migrant labourers.

Chairing a high-level security review meeting, Sinha instructed employers to ensure that all workers from other states and Union Territories are covered by insurance and that their details are registered with the local police and district authorities.
