Srinagar, Aug. 6 -- Srinagar- The Government of India (GoI) on Thursday informed the Lok Sabha that 4,548 Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Jammu & Kashmir received Post-Matric Scholarships, while 1,322 students benefited under the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme during 2025-26, through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Tribal Portal.

Replying to a question raised by PP Chaudhary, Dr K. Sudhakar, Jugal Kishore, Mahima Kumari Mewar, Himadri Singh, Nalin Soren and Manish Jaiswal, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey said the Ministry is leveraging the DBT Tribal Portal to monitor implementation of Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes for Scheduled Tribe students, generate MIS reports and facilitate online submission o...
