Srinagar, Aug. 5 -- Srinagar- The seventh anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A was marked by protests, rallies and heightened security across Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, as political parties reiterated sharply opposing positions on the Centre's 2019 decision.

The ruling National Conference (NC) and the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) held protests across Srinagar, Jammu and several district headquarters, reiterating their demand for the restoration of the erstwhile state's special constitutional status and statehood.
