Srinagar, Oct. 22 -- The autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin on Thursday and is expected to witness heated exchanges as the opposition gears up to corner the government on issues such as restoration of statehood, reservation policy, and regularisation of daily wage workers.
The nine-day session will begin with the House paying homage to former legislators from Jammu and Kashmir who passed away recently.
On Friday, the Assembly will elect four Rajya Sabha members from the Union Territory. The seats have remained vacant since 2021, as Assembly elections were not held until last year.
