J&K Assembly Adjourned Sine Die After Stormy 7-Day Session
Srinagar, Sept. 30 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was on Wednesday adjourned sine die, bringing to a close its Autumn Session that witnessed heated exchanges over restoration of statehood, the role of bureaucracy, regulation of social media journalism, legislators' salaries, employment, electricity, ration distribution and public expenditure.
The ten-day session, held from September 21 to 30, comprised seven sittings and around 25 hours of proceedings. Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, while announcing the adjournment, said the House had received 646 questions, including 328 starred questions.
