Srinagar, Aug. 4 -- Srinagar- Security has been stepped up across Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the seventh anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, with authorities putting in place a multi-layered security grid amid planned political protests and heightened vigilance across the Union Territory.

Police, the Army, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) have intensified surveillance, vehicle checking, frisking and area domination patrols from the International Border and the Line of Control to the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and major towns, officials said.
