Srinagar, June 22 -- Srinagar- Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, hailstorm and gusty winds lashed several parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, inundating large parts of Srinagar, disrupting normal life and bringing temperatures down across the Union Territory. A 65-year-old woman died after being electrocuted during the downpour in downtown Srinagar.

According to officials, many parts of Kashmir witnessed rain and thundershowers during the afternoon, while several districts of Jammu division, including Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi and Udhampur, also received precipitation.
