India, Oct. 7 -- Rain and hailstorm affected parts of Jammu and Kashmir amid a fresh spell of unsettled weather, with hail reported from several areas of Rajouri district and fresh snowfall recorded in the higher reaches of Kashmir, including the Gulmarg and Zojila areas.

Several areas of Rajouri witnessed a heavy hailstorm on Tuesday night, with hailstones covering roads and open spaces as weather conditions deteriorated.

Meanwhile, higher reaches of Kashmir received fresh snowfall, with snowfall reported in the Afarwat-Gulmarg belt and towards Zojila. Lower-lying areas experienced rain and drizzle.
