Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- Speaking to reporters here said he interacted with representatives and common citizens to understand their pressing needs, especially regarding lift irrigation schemes for orchards.
"I listened to the demands of the people. A comprehensive master plan will be prepared to provide adequate irrigation facilities to the horticulture sector, which is the backbone of our economy," he said, adding that the work will be taken up in a phased manner to ensure long-term benefits.
