Srinagar, July 21 -- Srinagar- Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri has been granted approval for 50 additional MBBS seats, taking its annual intake from 100 to 150, Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo said on Tuesday.

Announcing the development in a post on X, the minister said the increase in seats would create more opportunities for aspiring doctors and further strengthen medical education and healthcare infrastructure in the Union Territory.

Itoo said the approval follows a similar enhancement of MBBS seats at Government Medical College Jammu and Government Medical College Srinagar.
