Srinagar, April 21 -- Jammu- Girls outperformed boys in the Class 10 examinations of theJammu and Kashmir Board of School Educationsummer zone of the Jammu division, the results of which were declared on Tuesday, with an overall pass percentage of 88.85 per cent.
According to officials, the pass percentage has seen a significant rise from last year's 79.94 per cent. A total of 50,754 students appeared in the examination across the summer zone of the Jammu division, out of which 45,094 qualified.
Of the total candidates, 27,486 were boys and 23,268 were girls. While 87.51 per cent of boys cleared the exam, the pass percentage among girls stood higher at 90.42 per cent, continuing their strong academic performance.
