Forest Guard Attacked During Duty in Poonch, Police Register FIR
Srinagar, Sept. 7 -- Srinagar- Police have registered an FIR against two persons accused of assaulting a Forest Department beat guard while he was performing official duty in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident took place on September 6 during the extraction of departmental firewood from Compartment No. 182/H in Banwat area of Poonch for cremation purposes, according to the Forest Department.
In a communication to the Station House Officer, Police Station Poonch, Forest Range Officer, Haveli, said that two residents of Banwat-Abdul Majid, son of Aziza, and Muhammad Aftab, son of Fazal Hussain-allegedly attacked Beat Guard Poonch, Muhammd Shabir.
