Srinagar, Aug. 3 -- Srinagar- Flash floods triggered by intense rainfall inundated several houses in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Monday, prompting the deployment of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams for rescue and relief operations, officials said.

The heavy downpour caused floodwaters to enter residential areas in Badrhama village, damaging property and forcing several families to move to safer locations, they said, as per news agency GNS.

No casualties or injuries have been reported so far, officials said.

Teams from the district administration and emergency services rushed to the affected area to assess the situation and coordinate relief measures.
