Srinagar, Aug. 25 -- Srinagar- Security forces on Tuesday arrested five persons in separate operations in south Kashmir's Shopian and Pulwama districts and recovered hand grenades, a pistol, ammunition and posters allegedly bearing Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) markings, officials said.

In Shopian, security forces arrested three persons during a naka-checking operation and recovered two hand grenades and five posters allegedly bearing HM markings.

An official identified the arrested persons as Junaid Ahmad Dar, Amir Yousif and Junaid Muzaffer, all residents of Kulgam. The trio was apprehended along with a motorcycle during the checking operation.
