FDA Finds 35 Food Products Non-Compliant in Labelling, Packaging Drive
Srinagar, Sept. 11 -- Srinagar- The Food & Drugs Administration (FDA), J&K has conducted a special enforcement drive across all districts of the Union Territory to check compliance with prescribed standards governing the labelling and display of food products.
During the drive, 455 food samples were scrutinised, of which 35 were found non-compliant with mandatory labelling requirements. Notices have been served on the concerned Food Business Operators (FBOs), directing them to rectify the deficiencies within the stipulated period.
The FDA said further action would be initiated in accordance with law in cases where the violations are not rectified.
