Fake Antiques to Garlic Fraud: How a Kashmir 'Conman' Landed Under PSA

A senior police official in Anantnag described it as a particularly curious case of a con in Kashmir: a man who allegedly sold fake antiques, moved into a Rs.55 lakh wild-garlic deal and then pursued property transactions as part of what investigators describe as a wider fraud operation.
That run has now led Tasaduq Hussain Dar, also known as Tas Dar, to detention under the Public Safety Act.
Police detained Dar, a resident of Sadoora in Anantnag, after the district magistrate issued a PSA warrant against him. After completing the required legal procedures, officers lodged him in District Jail, Bhaderwah.
The police allegations span several types of business.
