Srinagar, Aug. 25 -- Srinagar- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of the Crime Branch J&K has filed a chargesheet against a man for allegedly cheating the family of a cancer patient by promising to provide medicines at cheaper rates, officials said on Tuesday.

The chargesheet was filed before the court of Sub-Judge, Srinagar, against Afaq Ahmad Thug S/o Ghulam Qadir R/o New Colony, Hazratbal Near Shiwala Mandir, Anantnag currently living at 10-Green Enclave Barmuni Road Sunjwan Jammu, in connection with FIR No. 25/2026 registered under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), they said.
