Srinagar, June 13 -- Srinagar- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch Kashmir on Friday conducted searches in Shopian and Pulwama districts in connection with an alleged date-of-birth manipulation case, officials said.

The searches were carried out as part of an investigation into allegations of fraudulent insertion and manipulation of date-of-birth entries in service records to secure undue benefits, they said.

Officials said the raids were conducted at the office of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO), Shopian, and his residence at Thamuna in Pulwama district in connection with an FIR registered under relevant sections of law.
