Srinagar- The Divisional Commissioner's office has asked the Deputy Commissioner Budgam to ensure strict compliance with a High Court order mandating status quo in Estate Reshipora, amid an ongoing legal challenge over alleged diversion of Kahcharai land.The directive follows an interim order passed by the High Court of J&K and Ladakh at Srinagar in a writ petition filed by residents of village Reshipora through Syed Zulfikar Ali and another.The petition challenges, among other things, Order No. DCB/ARA/CC/2026/94-97 dated March 16, 2026, issued by the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, alleging illegal diversion and utilisation of Kahcharai land under Survey No. 211 in the estate.Hearing the matter, a ben...
