Srinagar, Sept. 16 -- Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Zone), V.K. Birdi, on Tuesday directed officers to step up night patrolling, strengthen investigations, and maintain strict vigilance on anti-national elements.

Addressing senior officers, including SSPs and DIGs, IGP Birdi emphasized the need to build robust cases to ensure higher conviction rates in terrorism and narcotics-related cases. He also called for enhanced market checking to curb unlawful activities.
