Srinagar, April 15 -- Srinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday unveiled the renovated War Memorial at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regimental Centre in Rangreth on the occasion of the regiment's 78th Raising Day.The refurbished memorial, located near the Old Airfield in Srinagar, stands as a tribute to the soldiers of the regiment who laid down their lives in service of the nation.

Speaking after the ceremony, Omar expressed gratitude to the regiment for inviting him to unveil the memorial. "I am thankful to the regiment for giving me the opportunity to dedicate this memorial. I pray that they stay safe and continue their good work," he said.
