Srinagar, Aug. 6 -- Srinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said he will personally approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a proposal seeking a special Central relief package for the flood-affected districts of Rajouri and Poonch, saying Jammu and Kashmir does not have the financial capacity to bear the entire cost of restoration on its own.

Addressing reporters after chairing a high-level review meeting on relief and rehabilitation in Rajouri, Abdullah said the government would prepare a detailed proposal for Central assistance, similar to the nearly Rs.1,400 crore package sanctioned after last year's floods.
